Custom knives and custom leather.
The journey began as I shuffled through my brothers toolbox. I found a knife he had made some years ago. He told me where he got the steel and had it heat treated at. From there I was hooked. Every moment seemed to be the pursuit of "How do I do that?". Little did I know USA Knifemaker was right next door. In 2018 I made a trip to Morgan

Here I met Howard Clark and the rest was history.
Hi, I'm Adam. Thank you for stopping by. Chances are if you are here, you are interested in edged tools just as I am. I have a wife and 2 daughters and a full time job in the mobile HVAC industry. Creating quality edged tools is a hobby with a serious passion. I currently do not take custom orders. I make what interests me. If there is so

I work out of my home shop in Dakota City, Iowa. I started with "kit knives" that were already heat treated and ground blanks and put handles on them. From there I started buying my own steel and started doing stock removal. After the Morgan Valley visit the forging aspect really kicked in. Methods vary depending on the type of steel and the tool being made.
So you have a sharp edged tool, now what? After having my first knife finished the next task it was time to create a sheath. I bought a Tandy starter kit and was immediately hooked. Wet leather is just like hot metal. With special tools you can carve and stamp anything you want which led to dog collars, wallets, guitar straps and all sorts of other projects.
